Wat Dullayaram

It is the oldest temple built in the reign of King Rama V. It was formerly called Wat Chalung (Wat Baan Chiin). People come to pay homage to “Luang Pho Khae”, a Buddha image with the attitude of persuading the relatives not to quarrel posture. This Buddha image was carved out of wood by Lanna craftsmenship similar to Phra Kaenchan that the face is like a woman. Villagers who respect him built this temple and organize Songkran Festival every year.



Travel Note: The first version of Luang Pho Khae medal was made from copper and silver on Saturday, April 5th, 1971. The oblation to redeem a vow with Luang Pho Khae is Kanom Ko, fireworks, seven-color cloth, 100 gold leaves, roasted pork and pig head.
